Kate Anderson
Environmental Sociologist, UC-Berkeley, and We Own It Trustee
Kathryn Gregory Anderson (kate@weown.it) is an environmental sociologist who investigates how gender, race, nation, and other social hierarchies create barriers for collective action to promote economic democracy and environmental justice. Her research identifies leverage points for increasing diversity and inclusion and she develops evidence-based organizational interventions. Her projects span several different sectors, including food systems and energy, and a number of different regions, from the Brazilian Amazon to Wisconsin's dairyland. Kathryn is currently a postdoctoral fellow at UC-Berkeley's Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management.
